The Ilford lightweight coving is a shallow cornicing, its prominent feature being an elongated ogee shaped projection across the ceiling. This makes it the go-to coving for homes with little space above windows or doorways. If you want to have the entire set, take a look at the matching ceiling rose R09, as it has the same design as the coving.

This swept wave like polyurethane coving features a small step to its leading edge and makes an excellent alternative to plain coving.

The Edwardian C331 coving profile creates a shallow profile against ceilings covering just over 2 inches of wall and projecting slightly over 5 inches into the room. Whilst this application works very well in modern homes with low ceiling heights it can also look splendid when turned through 90 degrees and using the 5 inch height to create a crown like profile around the wall with the smaller projection going across the room. This wave like cornice profile blends beautifully with our contoured ceiling roses especially the R08 ceiling rose and R09 ceiling rose designs. Coving installers across England find that working with the lightweight coving brings far sharper detailing, appreciate the time saved on every room. Each cornice moulding is coated with a base coat and can be decorated with one top coat within 24 hours. Clients have reported complete installations in 6 to 7 hours when working in warm summer conditions that allow rapid adhesive curing. Ideal for lounge coving and dining room coving.

C331 Edwardian coving or cornice is one of our best sellers in the coving range. The coving profile is 6 x 13.5cm and has a diagonal of 14.8cm. The C331 coving has shape long sweep with a step top and bottom to finish. It is designed as a modern contemporary coving and can be mounted vertically or horizontally. The C331 contemporary coving is ideal for normal to larger rooms with standard ceilings. Examples can be, entrance way coving hall coving living room coving dining room coving kitchen coving or as coving for flats or as apartment coving. Consider as an alternative coving design the C220 coving. There is also a matching flexible coving the C331F flexible coving. In a bay or with a curved wall curved coving sometimes known as radius coving is needed and flexible coving is a unique solution. Coving for curved bays and curved walls in the past could only be fitted by specialist coving installers. Where the coving needs to be curved our simpler flexible coving option can be used. Orac flexible coving can match all but the tightest curve required for the coving. Specifications for the maximum amount of bend for individual coving designs are in our PDF file (below). If a greater degree of flex is required smaller flexible coving will normally give a greater degree of flexibility than a larger flexible coving. This is due to material bulk. The C331F flexible coving is produced in the same moulds as the rigid coving using a formula of rubberised material. The C331 rigid coving and C331F flexible curved coving can be used in together to achieve both straight coving and curved coving as the wall shape dictates. Suggested mouldings to use with the C331 coving and C331F curved coving are the P8020 rigid dado rail and P8020F flexible dado rail and the SX118 skirting and SX118F flexible skirting and R17 ceiling rose. Alternative options are of course equally suitable.
